Kia ora
I hope this finds you well and you have had an enjoyable time with your tamariki.
We are excited to be functioning at level 1 again which makes life a little less fraught for everyone!
It does mean that the restrictions are less and we can allow our tamariki a little more freedom.
We have lifted the 8:30 am restriction for children entering the school and we will now be finishing our day at 3:00pm. Again what level 2 and 3 have shown us is how independent the children are and we would like some of that to continue. Please give your tamariki opportunities to continue to build on their independence by letting them walk into school on their own.
All entrances to school will also be opened up which should ease the pressure for some of our families.
Level 1 does not mean that we are completely back to normal so we will be continuing remind the children about good hygiene, clean hands, sneezing into their elbow etc. Apa will also continue to sanitise high touch areas in the classrooms once a day as part of the procedures. We would ask that you also affirm our message at home.
At level 1 we do not need anyone to sign in at the office but would advice that you use the tracer app . You will find the code by the office door.
We have our speech finals on Friday for both our junior and senior syndicates and we are now delighted to invite you to come along and be part of them! The Senior speech finals ( our year 4- 6 tamariki) will start just after 9:00am and the Juniors ( year 1 – 3) will start at 11:30am.
Please also remember that the weather is changing. Your child should now be coming to school with a sunhat, appropriate clothing and should be applying sunblock. We will have sunblock available but having a roll on sun block in their bag is an excellent idea.
click here if you would like to read our sun safe policy.
We are looking forward to seeing all our tamariki tomorrow and hopefully have a full term of uninterrupted learning!
